You know, this SNAILPAPER word coinage strikes me the same as people thinking that a credit card = money instead of a simply a vehicle to use to spend money. People go to lengths to pay $120 and more for fancy cards (amex black, citi chairman, etc) which do nothing except allow you to spend even more money. In other words, the focus is on the tool vs content.
With Snailpaper (and even screening I suppose), we keep redefining the vehicle... the tool. Does anyone even care about the content anymore? I've given up on Newspapers in general and get my news from reedit.com, digg.com, and slashdot.org. Only when there is something of local interest do I read a copy of the local paper (and even then it's digital). On my Kindle I used to get the Denver Post, the NY Times, the International, and a few European papers. I gave up. It's all old news by the time it reaches "print" and then it's not even as in-depth as you'd expect.
